About WTPA

WTPA has a Constitution and is managed by an elected Committee of up to 12 members.  The Committee meets at least twice a year and there is an Annual General Meeting, normally held in June.  In addition 3 members of the Management Committee are also pensioner representatives on the Consultative Committee which meets 3 or 4 times per year with the Pension Scheme Trustees, actuaries and financial advisers.

The aims of the Association are to inform members of any developments in the financing, operation or structure of the Pension Scheme, to communicate the views of the Management Committee and the members to the Trustees and to provide support for the activities of the Association's branches around the country.   The Association publishes, normally annually, a newsletter entitled Postgate (click on Document Archive in the contents section on the side of this page to see back copies). The editor, Sue Lansdale, can be contacted by email at quintatiobasilio@gmail.com.

Local branches also have a constitution and consist of a Branch Co-ordinator and a Committee who organise their activities.   Whilst some branches have formally closed over recent years due to diminishing numbers, a number of pensioners continue to meet in informal groups.   To find a branch or social group in your area, or for any general queries about the Association, e-mail our website co-ordinator on administrator@wigginsteapepensioners.net and they will endeavour to put you in touch with the appropriate contact.
